Ray Allen is an American former professional basketball player. He played 18 seasons in the league and has gained a lot of attention from the fans later on in his career. Ray Allen played for 4 teams throughout his NBA career the Milwaukee Bucks, the former Seattle Supersonics, the Boston Celtics, and the Miami Heat. He played as a shooting guard position in the lineup. Allen was known for being one of the greatest shooters in NBA history and he brought a big impact in the game of basketball. He made a lot of noise in his career during his time in the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat but he was really known for the role he played in the Miami Heat with the big three Lebron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwayne Wade. Whenever anyone brings up Ray Allen's name to the conversation everyone instantly thinks of the moment he did in the NBA finals with the Miami Heat against the San Antonio Spurs. Back in 2013, Allen was on the court against the San Antonio Spurs in the 4th quarter. The Spurs held a 10-point deficit before Lebron James helped to put the squad up by 94-92, on the other hand Kawhi Leonard from the Spurs made one of the two free throws which makes the score 95-92. This is now where the magic happens, the heat had the final possession of the ball and Lebron hit a straightaway three but he missed terribly then Chris Bosh had to fight off two Spurs players to get the offensive rebound, Bosh got the rebound passed it to Allen in the corner, Allen skids through the corner three point line with Tony Parker defending him with a hand on his face and then shoots a three then hits it tying the game and sending it to overtime. Tony Parker played great defense but Allen had the better offence and the entire Arena was fired up and the San Antonio Spurs were shocked on what just happened. From there Miami took their extra life to win against the Spurs to give Miami their Championship. Many say Ray Allen saved Lebron's legacy and not only that but saving the Miami Heat's season as well. This was a historic moment that will never be forgotten and will live on fully through the game of basketball.
